KuGou is a Chinese music streaming and download service whose company was founded in Guangzhou in 2003 and is now owned by Tencent Music Entertainment, alongside QQ Music and Kuwo, which continue to operate separately. It began as a P2P music sharing program and is mainly available in mainland China.
The Android app lets you search, stream and download songs and watch music videos. Beyond music it offers audiobooks, long-form audio, themed channels, audio novels and Chinese crosstalk, plus live streaming. KuGou licenses music copyrights to provide legitimate content, and some content and premium services may require payment.
