About Everything
Everything is a freeware desktop search utility for Windows developed by voidtools. Instead of crawling folders like Windows Search, it reads the file records of NTFS and ReFS volumes to build a compact index of every file and folder name, so results appear and narrow down as you type.
The index is kept up to date in real time through the NTFS USN journal, so changes made while Everything was closed are not missed. Beyond plain keywords it supports wildcards, boolean operators, regular expressions and path or type filters, plus an optional content: search. An HTTP server, ETP/FTP server, the ES command-line tool and an SDK make it scriptable, and it ships as an installer, a portable ZIP and a slimmed Lite edition.

How to install
“Windows protected your PC”

Antivirus blocks it
Open-source apps are often flagged because they aren’t commercially signed. Check the SHA256 first, then allow it in your antivirus.
Won’t start, or a DLL is missing
Usually a missing runtime. Install Microsoft’s Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and the .NET Desktop Runtime, then try again.
Check the file
