About Spotify
Spotify is a Swedish music streaming service founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon and now one of the largest in the world. It offers licensed songs, podcasts and audiobooks from labels and media companies, with search by artist, album or genre and personalised recommendations.
The Windows app makes it easy to manage your library and create, edit and share playlists, follow friends and artists, and start Jams to listen together. One account works across computers, phones, TVs, speakers, consoles and cars. Spotify is freemium: the free tier has ads and limited controls, while Premium adds ad-free and offline listening. It is not available in mainland China.
