About Easydict
Easydict is a concise, easy-to-use translation and dictionary app for macOS by tisfeng, released under the GPL-3.0 license. It works out of the box, detects the input language automatically and supports input translation, select translation and OCR screenshot translation, querying several services at once so results can be compared side by side.
It supports more than 20 dictionary, translation, AI, local-model and CLI services, including Apple Dictionary, MDict, Apple Translate, DeepL, Google, Bing, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek and Ollama, with 52 selectable translation languages and multiple TTS voices. Default shortcuts are Option-A for input, Option-D for selected text and Option-S for screenshots. The latest release requires macOS 13.0 or later.

How to install
“App is damaged and can’t be opened”
Move the app into Applications, open Terminal, run this line, then open the app again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Easydict.app"“Developer cannot be verified”
In Finder → Applications, Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 or later: System Settings → Privacy & Security, then “Open Anyway” at the bottom.
Apple silicon or Intel?
Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M, pick the Apple silicon build; Universal works on both.
Check the file
Run this in Terminal and compare the result with the SHA256 listed for the cloud file:
