Joplin
About Joplin
Joplin is an open-source note-taking and to-do application created by Laurent Cozic, with clients for macOS, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS. It organizes notes in notebooks, sub-notebooks and tags and is widely used as an open-source alternative to Evernote.
On the Mac, separate builds are published for Intel and Apple silicon. Joplin is offline-first and syncs on demand with Joplin Cloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Nextcloud, WebDAV or a folder, with optional end-to-end encryption. It offers Markdown and Rich Text editors, multimedia attachments, math and diagrams, a Web Clipper for Chrome and Firefox, plugins and themes, and can import Evernote ENEX exports. Notes are saved in an open format, so they remain accessible and easy to export.
