About Notion
Notion is a note-taking and collaboration workspace from Notion Labs, first released in 2016. Pages are built from blocks, and databases can be viewed as tables, boards, calendars and lists, making it suitable for personal notes as well as team wikis and project management.
On macOS, Notion offers a Universal build plus separate Apple silicon and Intel downloads. The desktop app adds tabs and a global Command Search for finding pages or asking Notion AI without switching windows. Notion also offers a separate Notion Calendar app for macOS and a Web Clipper extension. The interface supports Simplified Chinese, and the service follows a freemium model.

How to install
“App is damaged and can’t be opened”
Move the app into Applications, open Terminal, run this line, then open the app again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Notion.app"“Developer cannot be verified”
In Finder → Applications, Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 or later: System Settings → Privacy & Security, then “Open Anyway” at the bottom.
Apple silicon or Intel?
Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M, pick the Apple silicon build; Universal works on both.
Check the file
Run this in Terminal and compare the result with the SHA256 listed for the cloud file:
