About Spotify
Spotify is a Swedish streaming service founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon and one of the largest music platforms in the world. It offers licensed songs, podcasts and audiobooks, with search by artist, album or genre and personalised recommendations.
The Mac app lets you organise your library, build and share playlists, follow artists and friends and start Jams to listen together, while your collection stays in sync with iPhone, iPad, TVs, speakers, consoles and cars. The free tier includes ads and limited controls; Premium adds ad-free and offline listening. Spotify is not available in mainland China, and sign-up depends on your country or region.
