Lively Wallpaper
About Lively Wallpaper
Lively Wallpaper is a free and open-source animated wallpaper app for Windows, licensed under GPL-3.0 and built with WinUI 3 and the Windows App SDK. It can set videos, GIFs, webpages, Shadertoy links and even Unity or Godot applications as your desktop background, and any wallpaper can double as a screensaver across multiple monitors.
Adding a wallpaper is as simple as dragging a file or URL into the app. Videos use hardware-accelerated mpv or VLC playback with filters, and webpages render through a Chromium-based engine. Playback pauses automatically for fullscreen apps and games, on battery power or during remote desktop sessions. Power users can control Lively from the command line, and developers can use the Lively API to build interactive wallpapers.
