About Motrix
Motrix is a free and open-source download manager released in 2018 and built on the aria2 engine. It downloads HTTP, FTP, BitTorrent, magnet and Metalink resources from one tidy view where tasks can be started, paused, retried and reordered.
Torrent features include selective file downloads, tracker management and UPnP/NAT-PMP port mapping, while settings cover speed limits, user-agent spoofing, notifications and dark mode. A plugin system and browser extension handoff extend it further. On Windows 10 and later it ships x64 and ARM64 installers and ZIP packages, and is also available via winget, Chocolatey and scoop. The installer version is recommended for torrent file association and magnet link capture.
