About qBittorrent
qBittorrent is an open-source BitTorrent client created as a free alternative to µTorrent, with a similar, familiar interface. Written in C++ with Qt and built on the libtorrent-rasterbar library, it offers the same features on Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD and OS/2, and is maintained by volunteers.
On Windows it handles torrent files and magnet links with DHT, PEX and local peer discovery, encrypted connections and private torrents. You can queue and prioritize torrents, pick individual files, download sequentially, schedule bandwidth limits, filter IPs and create new torrents. An RSS downloader with regex filters, a Python-plugin search engine and a web interface for remote control round it out. It is available in about 70 languages.
