About Visual Studio Code
Visual Studio Code is a free source-code editor released by Microsoft in 2015. Built on Electron and based on the MIT-licensed Code - OSS project, it combines a lightweight editor with a huge extension marketplace that adds support for almost every programming language, debugger and tool.
On Windows it ships as a user installer that needs no administrator rights, a system-wide installer and a ZIP archive, each for x64 and Arm64. Setup adds VS Code to PATH so you can type code . in any folder, and can add an Open with Code entry to the Explorer context menu. A Simplified Chinese language pack is available as an extension.
