Bitwarden for Android brings the open-source password manager to phones and tablets. Your vault is encrypted on the device before it syncs, so the service only ever stores ciphertext, and the client code is public on GitHub for anyone to audit.
The app plugs into Android's autofill framework, letting you fill logins inside apps and browsers without copy-paste, and it can be unlocked with biometrics. A built-in generator creates strong passwords for new accounts. The free plan syncs across unlimited devices, while paid plans add premium, family and business features. Besides Google Play, Bitwarden runs its own F-Droid repository.

How to install
“Install unknown apps” is blocked
This is an Android security setting. Allow “Install unknown apps” only for the app you use to open the APK (such as your file manager), and turn it off again afterwards.
“There was a problem parsing the package”
The APK is usually incomplete, or your Android version is older than the app requires. Download it again and check the system requirements on this page.
It conflicts with an installed version
An APK signed differently cannot replace an app installed from an app store. Update it from the store, or back up and uninstall the old version first.
