About Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge is Microsoft's browser built on the open-source Chromium project. Since moving to Chromium it has been available beyond Windows, including a native macOS version that shares favorites, passwords and history with Edge on other devices.
According to Microsoft's documentation, current Edge releases on the Mac require macOS 13 Ventura or later. Edge for Mac offers Copilot for summarizing and asking about web pages, vertical tabs, split screen and workspaces, and supports both Edge add-ons and most Chrome Web Store extensions. It is a natural fit for people who work across Windows and Mac or rely on Microsoft 365.

How to install
“App is damaged and can’t be opened”
Move the app into Applications, open Terminal, run this line, then open the app again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Microsoft Edge.app"“Developer cannot be verified”
In Finder → Applications, Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 or later: System Settings → Privacy & Security, then “Open Anyway” at the bottom.
Apple silicon or Intel?
Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M, pick the Apple silicon build; Universal works on both.
