About Snipaste
Snipaste combines snipping with pinning: after taking a screenshot you can pin it back onto the screen as an always-on-top window, and clipboard text, HTML, color values or image files can be pinned the same way. Pinned images can be zoomed, rotated, flipped, made translucent or click-through, grouped and collapsed into thumbnails.
The Mac version of Snipaste 2 is a Universal app for Intel and Apple Silicon. It offers UI element detection, pixel-level selection, a color picker, capture history, multi-monitor and Retina support, and annotation tools including shapes, arrows, pens, text, mosaic and blur. Screen recording permission is required on macOS. It is free for personal use; business use of 2.x needs a paid license.

How to install
“App is damaged and can’t be opened”
Move the app into Applications, open Terminal, run this line, then open the app again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Snipaste.app"“Developer cannot be verified”
In Finder → Applications, Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 or later: System Settings → Privacy & Security, then “Open Anyway” at the bottom.
Apple silicon or Intel?
Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M, pick the Apple silicon build; Universal works on both.
Check the file
Run this in Terminal and compare the result with the SHA256 listed for the cloud file:
