About 鼠须管（Rime）
Squirrel is the macOS frontend of RIME, the open-source Chinese input method engine, released under the GPL-3.0 license. RIME is a cross-platform framework; its Windows counterpart is Weasel, and Linux users have ibus-rime and fcitx5-rime.
Squirrel ships with schemata such as Luna Pinyin, Bopomofo and Cangjie, and the /plum/ configuration manager installs many more, including Wubi, double pinyin, Cantonese, Wu and Middle Chinese. Press Ctrl-` or F4 to open the schema menu and switch schemata or common options. Customization is done through YAML files followed by a redeploy, with online documentation and a customization guide. It supports macOS 13.0 and later and can also be installed with Homebrew.

How to install
“App is damaged and can’t be opened”
Move the app into Applications, open Terminal, run this line, then open the app again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/鼠须管（Rime）.app"“Developer cannot be verified”
In Finder → Applications, Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 or later: System Settings → Privacy & Security, then “Open Anyway” at the bottom.
Apple silicon or Intel?
Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M, pick the Apple silicon build; Universal works on both.
