Bruno
About Bruno
Bruno is an open-source API client for debugging HTTP APIs, organising request collections and writing automated tests, often chosen as an open alternative to Postman. Each collection is a local folder of readable text files, so teams can keep API requests in the same Git repository as their code.
Bruno runs locally with no account and no cloud sync. It supports REST, GraphQL, gRPC and WebSocket, environments, OAuth, scripts and assertions, collection runs, code generation and Postman imports. On Windows it ships for x64 and Arm64 as EXE, MSI and portable ZIP, and can also be installed with winget, Chocolatey or Scoop. Core features are MIT-licensed and free, with paid editions for enterprise needs.

Antivirus blocks it
Open-source apps are often flagged because they aren’t commercially signed. Check the SHA256 first, then allow it in your antivirus.
Won’t start, or a DLL is missing
Usually a missing runtime. Install Microsoft’s Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and the .NET Desktop Runtime, then try again.
