DBeaver
About DBeaver
DBeaver is a universal database management tool and SQL client whose Community edition is free and open source under the Apache-2.0 license. Built on the Eclipse platform, it connects to relational databases through JDBC drivers, so one app can manage MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server and more.
On Windows it is available as an installer or ZIP for x86 and ARM, through the Microsoft Store and via Chocolatey, with an OpenJDK runtime bundled. It offers a SQL editor with completion, a data editor, import and export, DDL generation, ER diagrams and SSH tunnelling. A paid PRO edition adds more databases and features.
Key features
- Connects to many relational databases
- SQL editor with completion
- Spreadsheet-style data editor
- Data import, export and migration
- DDL generation and ER diagrams
- SSH tunnelling
- Bundled OpenJDK runtime

How to install
“Windows protected your PC”
SmartScreen shows this for apps without a paid signature. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
Antivirus blocks it
Open-source apps are often flagged because they aren’t commercially signed. Check the SHA256 first, then allow it in your antivirus.
Won’t start, or a DLL is missing
Usually a missing runtime. Install Microsoft’s Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and the .NET Desktop Runtime, then try again.
Check the file
Run this in Command Prompt and compare the result with the SHA256 listed for the cloud file:
