About Rectangle

Rectangle is a window management app for macOS based on Spectacle, created by Ryan Hanson and released under the MIT license. It lets you move and resize windows with keyboard shortcuts, such as halves, quarters, thirds, maximize and center, and repeating a shortcut cycles through sizes.

You can also drag a window to a screen edge or corner to snap it, with portrait displays supported. Rectangle is a near drop-in replacement for Spectacle and can use Spectacle's default shortcuts. Advanced options include tiling windows in rows or columns, cycling stacked windows, mouse button shortcuts, ignoring apps and running actions via URL schemes. It supports macOS 14 and later, with older releases kept for earlier systems. A paid Rectangle Pro is offered separately.
