RustDesk
About RustDesk
RustDesk is an open-source remote desktop application written in Rust and released under AGPL-3.0. On a Mac it can both control other computers and accept incoming sessions: the app shows an ID and a one-time password, and the other side connects with them, without accounts or complex setup.
Because of macOS privacy rules, RustDesk needs Accessibility permission for keyboard and mouse control, Screen Recording to capture the display, and on newer macOS versions Input Monitoring; the app guides you to each setting. It uses public servers by default, but you can self-host RustDesk Server and point the client to it. Hardware codecs, audio, recording, clipboard sync and security options are included, and it interoperates with Windows, Linux, Android, iOS and the web client.
