About Tabby
Tabby (formerly Terminus) is an open-source terminal emulator that on Windows can stand in for the classic console host, PowerShell ISE and PuTTY. It supports CMD, PowerShell, WSL, Git-Bash, Cygwin and MSYS2, plus built-in SSH, Telnet and serial clients, all in one tabbed and split-pane window.
Windows-specific touches include Clink-based tab completion, agent forwarding through Pageant or the native OpenSSH agent, and optional PuTTY-style copy-on-select and right-click paste. Secrets live in an encrypted vault, and Zmodem lets you move files inside SSH sessions. Installer and portable builds are offered for x64 and ARM64; creating a data folder next to Tabby.exe turns it into a portable app.

Won’t start, or a DLL is missing
Usually a missing runtime. Install Microsoft’s Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and the .NET Desktop Runtime, then try again.
